First Eldar squad in over a decade. They've been in the basement in primer since 2012.

The scheme is straight from the box art — I had no interest in reinventing the wheel for an army that's mostly here to fill out a display shelf. Bone armour, blue accents, gem chips on every available curve.

What surprised me is how much faster they painted than my marines. The Eldar sculpts have these long, clean panels that take a wash beautifully and then need almost no highlighting. A squad of ten in about four evenings. Marines take me twice that.

If you're staring at an old project that's been sitting in primer, this is your sign. Start the first model. Don't plan a scheme. Use the box art. Finish them in a week and move on.
